Ryan Driller is reading Babysitting the Baumgartners. In fact, all of the cast has read it, or will read it, before filming begins on March 4. I was curious what they thought of the book itself, so I asked – here’s what Ryan had to say:
I couldn’t be more honored and excited to have landed the role of Doc for Babysitting the Baumgartners. Having read the book, then meeting and talking with Kay and talking about how true we get to adapt Selena’s story and characters makes the whole project that much more thrilling. The story is sweet, endearing and so sexy; the scenes are steamy and exhilarating, and the cast and crew are all great and the perfect people to bring this all to life. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing and sharing the finished film with everyone.
I have to say, I’m pretty thrilled he took the job, and no one is more excited than I am to see this book turned into a film! 🙂
A little about Ryan, just for fun – he’s a Leo. Born August 17, 1982. That makes him thirty-three. And a man who likes to be the center of attention. He picked a perfect profession for that, eh? He’s also a Colorado Avalanche fan – eep! I will grudgingly forgive him for that, and as a diehard Detroit Red Wings girl, that isn’t an easy task! He likes Italian food. (Yum! Selena approves!) His favorite TV shows are Lost and Dexter.
And as for books, his favorites are: I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, Outbreak, Sphere, The Celestine Prophecy, The Way of the Peaceful Warrior, and the entire Hannibal Lecter series.
Selena definitely approves!
Ryan is 6’1″ and about 200 lbs of awesomesauce. You guys, he is going to make one helluva Doc Baumgartner. I mean, just look at him!
Oh, and if you haven’t seen Marriage 2.0 yet? The man can act. I mean, seriously, he isn’t just a pretty face. (Although he was a male model at one time – couldn’t have guessed that, right? Ha.) I can’t wait to see him bring that profound presence and energy to the screen in Babysitting. He’s got the chops.
It’s gonna be so good.
XOXO
