A.J. Applegate was asked how she felt about playing Gretchen in the upcoming adult movie from Adam & Eve based on my book, Babysitting the Baumgartners.
This is what she had to say:
“I’m really excited about playing the role of Gretchen for this movie! I love acting, so I love when I get the chance to do awesome feature films. I definitely see acting in this movie and this role as a little bit of a challenge and I love myself a challenge.”
You have to love a girl who loves a challenge, amirite?
A little bit about A.J. Applegate – she was born on September 23, 1989, which makes her a Libra, right on the cup of Virgo. That makes her both smart and sociable. And someone with a deep love of beauty and balance. No wonder she started out as a dancer!
A.J.’s favorite foods are sushi–and Italian. She and Ryan should go to dinner, because pasta is her weakness. That and sweets. A girl after my own heart! Her favorite? Twizzlers!
This beautiful dancer can’t miss a “Dance Moms” episode. But she also likes American Horror Story, Sons of Anarchy and Bates Motel.
Her favorite movie is Dirty Dancing – and anything with Jim Carrey. Also scary movies.
As for books – she loves Nancy Drew, girl sleuth!
I’m so excited to have A.J. on board to play Gretchen in the film adaptation of Babysitting the Baumgartners. She’s a stunning beauty, very close to what I pictured for Gretchen, and I sincerely hope this film does so well that Adam & Eve want to make the whole series – because I would love to see Doc and Mrs. B (Ryan and Anikka) make a Gretchen (AJ) sandwich!
